I really enjoyed this note card confession assignment. It really made me take a step back and reflect on my life. It took some time to think about exactly what I wanted to write about and what was significant about this event in my life. I wrote out the whole story on several pieces of note book paper until I was happy with it beginning, middle, and end. Next, I started writing on note cards and tried to figure out what words I want to draw more attention and focus too. Next, I recorded my video until I was happy with the angle and timing as I flipped the cards. Then, I went to iMovie and started editing and adding music to my video. It was hard to decide what music to use because it really does affect the way in which you percieve the story. I decided to go with an subtle, adventurous, journey type song to try and captivate the reader attention.
I wrote my note card confession assignment about my decision to transfer to Kansas State. I grew up in Wichita and lived there for 20 years of my life. I attended Wichita State University for 2 years and spring semester of my sophomore year I had this feeling and reoccuring thought in my that I should be at Kansas State University. I couldn't explain why I had this urge but I knew in my heart it was where I was being called to be. This urge continued to grow stronger until I couldn't ignore it anymore. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made because I was leaving behind everything I had ever known but "when one door closes another door opens." Now looking back I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else. I have grown in ways I never thought possible. All around I feel more independent, self-reliant, confident, and open-minded. It is amazing what happens when we open ourselves up to new opportunities and chances to grow. I have learned that in order to grow in life you must get comfortable with the uncomfortable.
